Possibilities of analysis

Because for most (regional/local) stations the daily sample is not sufficient, radio does not (yet) analyse specific programs. Depending on the size of the station (population size in the broadcasting area) the stations can analyse their data on monthly-basis, quarterly-basis or semesters. According to the agreement on publication of Radiocontrol data between Publica Data, Swiss Broadcasting Corporation and the private radio stations there will be no publication of data generated with a sample of less than 400 persons and/or under a quarter year.

Analysis of time segments

As for Telecontrol system, it is also possible in Radiocontrol to analyse all radio programs in time segments. These time segments can be defined flexibly between minutes and a full day. In daily business this is analysed in reach per (24h), per hour and per 15 min. This Data will be partly published. In this way e.g. average market shares for different radio stations in a certain target group are calculated. Here you find the latest data-publication.

The most important measures are:

Reach in % or thousand (NR-% / NR-T)
Time spent listening per listener (NH)
Market share (MA)

 
This analysis can be done for flexibly defined target groups. Usually the market standard is a demo with sex, age, profession, education, community-size, etc.
